Malaysia trip with Isabel part 1
Two days in Tioman was an eye opening experience for me. I always wanted to go this island ever since I watched that swimming series "Ren Wo Ao You" and it was nominated by Times magazine as one of the world most beautiful island. The night before our trip bel stayed at my place after cell group meeting, reached home quite late after supper. Went to buy bread for Tomorrow breakfast. Didn't slept much as I was still doing last minutes packing. Woke up at 5am and took a cab down to Lavander, wanted to find a place for breakfast but the shop so weird, still have to wait until boss arrive then can start business. Ended up she called Mac for breakfast. I brought Big eyes along, so that inside bus can hug and smell big eyes. Before the trip we searched the Internet, think Sun beach resort was the best within the budget. It is located in Kg. Genting. Well there is legend that lies behind this ravishing island "that Pulau Tioman is the resting ground of a beautiful dragon princess who, while flying from China to her beloved in Singapore, sought solace in the crystal-clear waters of the sea. Pleased with the island's charms, she discontinued her journey to give pleasure and comfort to passing travelers by turning herself into an island."
Really thanks to Bel, she did a lot of preparation, with her around I don't have to worry where to go or what to do. She is really a nice companion to go oversea with. The moment we reached Tioman, I was full of anticipation looking forward to trying new things. The weather was hot about 34 degree but it just did not dampen my mood. Took 5-6 hours bus journey, along the way saw a lot of banana and coconut trees. I was arguing with bel what tree was that, she said banana but I insisted coconut. Slept a lot on the trip. Took a ferry for another 1 1/2 hours after alighting at Mersing. Inside the ferry we sat separately, actually I wanted to sit on the top of the ferry but the person don't allow, so I was forced to sit in between two Caucasian. They chatted with me about the natural scenery and places of interest that it is a must to see when you go overseas, we also chat about jobs and Christ. Surprisingly they both worked in Singapore and is a coach for diving in Tioman. I fell asleep, felt like vomiting also especially when I woke up from my rest.
We reached the destination at 12:30pm. The time seems to pass real slow, the people lived a simple life also. The moment I stepped out of the ferry, I uttered a "Wow". I love seeing natural sight especailly when I read about them in a book like how mountain is form, Rafflesia the world biggest flower, coral reef, don't know how many feet tall of hills, south china sea and many more. Seeing it with your eyes and the kind of excitment is one cannot imagine just like what Roman 8:19 says "The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed." It is just fantastic. What I can say is God creation is just lovely and stunning. I think going overseas should see more things that you never see before rather than just shopping and playing, though the fun must still exist but let's not forget how God play with its "playdough". Romans 1:20 says this "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities- his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."
The sea was extremely clear and tranquil with the colors of bluish green in the center, steel blue at the surrounding of the bluish green color and royal blue at the far end. The jetty was long so even when you stand at the end, you can see clearly at school of fishes swimming underneath and coral reef laying at the seabed. This kind of view cannot be found anywhere in Singapore, it really caught my eyes and I wanted to go that place again to try snorkeling and diving, to experience the touch and seeing them swim pass my body.
Tioman was full of high gigantic hills and one row of resorts stood afar facing the South China Sea, it is part of the Pacific Ocean measuring 3, 500, 000 km2. The people were friendly, helped us carry luggage to our room. We walked around Sun Bearch Resort looking for provision shop, so bel bought a local Sim card and prepaid card so that we can call home, I wanted to search for money changer but there was none, so I changed S$100 with Bel to survive first. Haha I called mum and told her I am fine and had reached the place peacefully.
Our TV was not working so we looked for someone to repair, he even changed a TV for us but it still doesn't worked so ended up we just forget about it. thank God, Bel bought laptop along so at night after dinner we had our movie at home watching beautiful boxer, nice and touching. For the first day, lunch was not provided, so we bought ayam cup noodles for lunch, taste like my faourite yellow packet that noodles. We slept a lot in the afternoon after lunch. Actually wanted to watch sunset but slept until near dinner time, so she woke me up. Haha think with big eyes around I can slept for centuries. I parted with big eyes and leaving him alone in the room. Talking about the dinner, we had BBQ dinner for the first night. so sumptuous, they BBQ for us cooking squids, fish, chicken wings, marinated mutton, hot dogs, salad, fruits, fried rice and bee hoon. Yummy we ate at one of the table at the sandy beach with a pub located directly beside, facing the sea and enjoying welcome dinner. However they got cats around, looking so skinny, wandering at the bottom of the table waiting for us to give them food, see already also heart pain. I wanted to take fish and feed him de but bel stopped me say cannot. Haix so heartless. After that went to buy some tidbits- twisties cheese flavor and store in the room. Bath already then watched the beautiful boxer with bel, its a Thai show with this man dreaming to become a woman one day, haix don't understand how human mind works also, had my quiet time and do a bit of housework before I sleep.

We had our BBQ dinner for the first night, the people are so friendly. There is pub located just directly beside.
Sun Beach Resort is soooooo Nice! Everything is just so perfect.
